Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has approved new
fees for members of the union to take effect
from January 15.
At the last meeting held by the council, the
second highest decision- making body of the
union after congress, it was agreed that new
rates should be introduced for MUSIGA’s
members.
According to the president of MUSIGA, Bice Osei
Kuffour, since MUSIGA is a member-based
organisation that caters for the welfare of its
members, it needed to charge realistic fees to
enable it to provide meaningful services to
members.
He added that three new categories of
membership have also been introduced by the
union in addition to the already existing
Standard Membership category. One of the new
categories is Associate Member for students
interested in joining the union.
“These are students of institutions like School of
Performing Arts, National Film and Television
Institute (NAFTI), University of Education at
Winneba and similar tertiary institutions
offering music courses,” the MUSIGA president
said.
