KOTOKO ARE NOT FAVOURTIES FOR THE LEAGUE - ALI MARADONA.

Deputy Communications Manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Alhaji Ali Maradona says the Reds are not favourites for the league title as many have perceived.

The pre-season performance of the Fabulous lads has been very convincing, compelling many to believe that they are favourites for the upcoming league.

According to Ghanasoccernet.com,the staunch Kotoko fan said is a rush for fans to think about the team winning the league.

“It is too early to make those assertions. The team is taking shape but we are not favourites for the league,” Maradona told .

“Such calls will put pressure on the team to perform and that can affect their aim during the league. For us, we are still building a team.”

Asante Kotoko’s beat AshantiGold to win the SWAG Cup, and also won the trophy in the G6 tournament raising the hopes of the fans ahead of the season.
