Board member of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Kwaku Amponsah has blamed popular Ghanaian cheerleader Joseph Langabel for Kotoko’s 2-0 defeat to WAFA in the League opener.
Langabel was hired by astute Kotoko fan Kennedy Agyapong aka Capocinno to ginger the players and travelling supporters in their Ghana Premier League opener against WAFA at the Sogakope Park.
But Amponsah, who doubles as the chairman of the national supporters front has expressed his displeasure and disgust about the decision of philanthropist to add the renowned Olympics supporter to their fold.
”Langabel Inclusion is a worry to the circles especially those in Nima and the Greater Accra Regional Circles council, they were very furious and they confronted me after the game. Yesterday I called Opoku Nti about the decision and he told me he is not aware of the decision. But the Greater Accra Regional Circles Council has started investigations into the inclusion of Langabel in our supporters base,” Kwaku Amponsah told Kumasi-based Nhyira FM
“Langabel is not a Kotoko supporter, the ‘KPALOGO’ he sang trigged the gods in Volta Region which resulted in our defeat against WAFA over the Weekend, he added
Langabel is expected to lead Kotoko supporters in their match day two fixture game against regional rivals Ashgold at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi, which has been rescheduled from February 28 to March 9, 2016.
