SIASIA NAMES 42 MAN SQUAD FOR AFCON QUALIFIER

Newly appointed Nigeria manager Samson Siasia has announced a 42-man squad in preparations for the 2017 AFCON Group G qualifier against Egypt.

The squad includes 20 abroad players and 22 Nigeria-Based players with John Obi Mikel, Victor Moses, and Odion Ighalo amongst the the called-up players. Lazio midfielder Ogenyi Onazi will be unavailable for the first encounter in Nigeria due to red card, but can take part in the game in Alexandria.
Siasia failed to convince retirees Vincent Enyeama and Emmanuel Emenike to return to the Super Eagles as they are not part of the announced squad.
The Nigeria national team camp is set to kick-off on March 6th.  Players traveling from overseas will join the group on March 20, five days before hosting the Pharaohs.
