PFAG LAUNCHES RETIRED FOOTBALLERS FUND AND INSURANCE SCHEME.

The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana have launched a fund for retired footballers and an insurance scheme for active players.
 
The ceremony was held  at the Alisa Hotel in Accra on Monday night.

The General Secretary of the PFAG Tony Baffoe said the policy will cover 30 players in each of the 16 Ghana Premier League Clubs
This initiative is to ensure that players in the domestic top-flight get the needed indemnity to enjoy the game.

 Ex-Ghana internationals Augustine Arhinful, Samuel Osei Kuffour and Yaw Preko were present as well as Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan and his teammates who are in town to prepare for Thursday’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mozambique.
 
Players of some teams in the Ghana Premier League also graced the occasion.
